The Rundown: The survivors find an ally within the creature who is harboring a deadly secret.

After receiving a radio signal, the survivors leave the train and venture further into the creature. After being chased by deadly, ravenous parasites that live within the behemoth, they find themselves being saved by a French sailor named Etienne, who has been communicating with them and has weapons that can drive the creatures back.
After a narrow escape, the survivors try to find some rest in the confines of the ship as Etienne reveals how long he’s been in the creature and what his crew tried to do to escape. Sara goes to find Etienne and discovers the dark truth of his survival before he confronts them with a gun. At the same time, one of the survivors discovers that the military plans on nuking the creature not knowing there are people inside.
The Story: Sputore and Engle craft a dark, thrilling story in this issue. There is a great immediacy to the action and the character interactions. I love that there is a ticking clock on the character’s decisions and that the mystery in this issue evolves in a way that plays into some great moments of suspense for Sara. It’s going to be interesting to see what happens next for these survivors and which ones will actually survive.
The Art: Martin delivers some great art throughout the issue. The visuals are exciting and perfectly capture the suspense, terror and action of the story.
